As I mentioned in yesterday’s post, I really am loving infographics right now. I came across this one, which nicely puts calories into perspective. I think the most important takeaway is how despite being very nutrient dense, fruits and vegetables are incredibly low in calories. It isn’t difficult to burn off calories from fruits and vegetables just by doing your normal, everyday activities. On the other hand, you can see how difficult it is to burn off high calorie foods. Calories are far more easily (and quickly) consumed than they are burned! What are your major takeaways from this infographic?
